Why I’m Building a Portfolio

Throughout my career in tech and product, I've often felt frustrated by how much of the innovative work my teams create stays hidden behind NDAs and corporate firewalls. It's rewarding work, but it's tough when you can't openly share your creativity and impact with others.
This realization prompted me to build a product portfolio independently - one that spans my personal and professional interests, including video game development, art, audio, AI, gaming, real estate, and anything else that catches my interest.
My Journey: A Non-Technical Path into Tech
I wasn't traditionally trained as an engineer. My background is in business and digital marketing, fields deeply rooted in understanding and influencing human behavior. Driven by a passion for impacting people's lives through technology, I naturally gravitated toward product management; a space where I could blend strategy, creativity, and empathy.
The AI Revolution: Bridging Ideas to Reality
We're living through an AI revolution that empowers anyone, regardless of technical background, to transform ideas into real-world products. Tools that once required deep technical expertise are now accessible, enabling creatives and strategists like me to prototype, experiment, and build tangible solutions rapidly.
AI has become the catalyst, bridging the gap between my abstract ideas and concrete outcomes. It's an exciting time, especially for those of us who have ideas but previously lacked the technical skills to execute them independently.
Childhood Passions, Adult Realizations
As a child, I dreamt of being an author, painter, and storyteller. But as life unfolded, these dreams seemed impractical and distant. Today, the technology landscape has changed dramatically, offering new ways to fulfill these early aspirations. Gaming, storytelling, and immersive experiences can now be realized through accessible AI-powered tools and platforms.
Creating Lasting Emotional Impact
Corporate America taught me a crucial lesson: people remember how you made them feel, not necessarily what you accomplished. This insight drives my passion for creating memorable, emotionally impactful products and experiences; products that resonate deeply with their audiences, leaving lasting impressions.
You Can Do Anything
If there's one message I want to share loudly, it's this: you can do anything you set your mind to. Sometimes, all we need is someone to explicitly remind us of this simple but powerful truth. Take calculated risks, pursue your genuine passions, and think strategically about your long-term goals. Regardless of age or stage in life, you have the power to reset, pivot, and pursue what truly fulfills you.
Freedom, Passion, and Independence
I'm fortunate to build my portfolio in parallel with a rewarding corporate career. My hope is that these creative pursuits eventually become my primary professional path, allowing me to escape the financial and creative constraints imposed by external entities and achieve true professional independence. Life is short; it's essential to prioritize what genuinely matters.
